DJ KERRY has been passionate about music since the tenderage of 5. Episode 22 with Special Guest Rick Wren - Los Angeles
Rick Wren’s style was molded by the music he heard in his youth on the East Coast and in the clubs of Philadelphia and New York City. After moving to Los Angeles in 2003 his tastes were expanded and further refined, rounding out his already eclectic sound. Classic funk & soul, hip-hop, house, disco, boogie, global obscurities, and the most current cutting-edge tracks can all be found in his extensive and ever-expanding record collection. He has had the honor of sharing the bill with such talents as Rich Medina, Woolfy (DFA), Dâm Funk & Peanut Butter Wolf (Stones Throw), Marques Wyatt (Om, Deep), Jeremy Sole (KCRW), Trus’me (Prime Numbers UK), Lovefingers (ESP, Blackdisco), Greg Wilson (UK), Kon (BBE, Kon & Amir), Rahaan (Chicago), Marcel Vogel (Lumberjacks in Hell, Amsterdam), Jacques Renault (Let’s Play House, DFA), Shuggie Otis, Bernie Worrell, The Blackbyrds, and many more. Rick is available for booking for all occasions. He can rock a dance floor until the break of dawn but is just as comfortable creating a one-of-a-kind soundscape for art, fashion, and corporate events.

Spacewalk episode 20 with special guest Duserock / San Francisco
Welcome to another installment of L.A. Bassin Radio. Today we are in for a special treat with a guest mix from non other than the man himself from San Francisco Duserock. I had the pleasure of playing for Duserock in San Francisco back in 2010 at Club Milk across the from Ameoba records and let me tell you this boy rocks!!!! Duserock has been bringing heat to dance floors for almost two decades, opening for the likes of Sting and Sheryl Crow. His ability to blend genre's and keep the crowd dancing have made him a popular dj worldwide. He shared bills with Photek, Marques Wyatt, Dubtribe, Gavin Hardkiss, Tal M Klein and many more. He was recently acknowledged in San Francisco's Nitewise 2010 Top 10 DJ list.
Aside from Djing, Duserock has been spending more energy in the production realm. His roots stem from the dance act Drop Culture, an electronic based group which received praise from dance stalwarts Pete Tong and Groove Armada. Realizing it was time to explore the depths of his personal creativity Duserock has taken on the world of writing, remixing and is a founding member of electronic acts EMDM and Sleeper Cell.

Spacewalk radio episode 19 with special guests Mike McCarthy / Collective /Los Angeles
We are excited to have our good friend Mike McCarthy on our show. Born and raised in Torrance, CA. Mike McCarthy has been enjoying the house community and scene since 1999. Being influenced by Chicago’s very own Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Heather & Diz, Mike decided to begin his journey and passion for house music. With the love and support of his wife Gloria, he ventured off into bringing more house music into Los Angeles by creating Collective in 2012. Through Collective he was inspired to dedicate and work harder on perfecting his technique on the decks with the advice from his fellow house community. Having the opportunity for people to hear his sound on Star Sessions and play for a few of the underground house scene events, he is always trying to bring his jackin house style to a whole different level with the new and old sounds of many talented producers out there. He hopes to one day bring his love for spinning house to his three children. His goal has been and will always be to get people to forget their problems for one night and just dance the night away.
Hope you enjoy!
